Everfrost Album Artwork Revealed, Updates, Release Info and More

The last two months have been very busy for the band, me and everyone involved in the new Everfrost album, Blue Eyed Emotion!

First of all the cover artwork for the album created by mangaka, Michiru Bokido was revealed. We totally love it and hope you like this poster featuring it and would love to hear what you think. Hopefully this gives you a view into the themes and story of the album, also the visual style of our winter metal music mixing metal with manga!

In mid November I had my own table at Kitacon in Kemi, Finland to promote the album. I was selling the poster and our older music as well as other fan products and merch for the band and album. We nearly ran out of flyers and it was awesome watching people getting their hands on the music and curious about our collaboration with Michiru! We had a great time and the whole con was a fun experience, seeing other artists and products, cosplays and events, plus it was really nice to see so many friends there.
Here's a photo of my table!

It was also time to make a new album update video so here is me being awkward in front of the camera talking about Blue Eyed Emotion and Michiru's new manganoke,Knight of Fae coming next year. There is also a teaser clip of our new song 'The Glades and the Cradle' which we wrote for the Knight of Fae anime trailer, let us know what you think!

This month the album release information was revealed including the tracklist, release date, distributors and more. The full post is available HERE or click the poster below!
Blue Eyed Emotion by EVERFROST will be available December 19

Everfrost and Michiru Bokido Interview and Article

Everfrost

I have a big update about the upcoming Everfrost album and news about something very exciting we are bringing you!

The Blue Eyed Emotion album visually will combine anime/manga with our music to tell a story. I wouldn't call it a concept album but it is heavily story-based with characters who exist in the music and album visuals. I hadn't really seen this kind of thing done with anime and manga before outside of Japan so I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. But then we were lucky enough to get a chance to work with professional Japanese mangaka, Michiru Bokido!

It turned out that he was beginning work on a brand new manga of his own called 'Knight of Fae' and throughout this process invented a new form of manga he dubbed, 'manganoke'. The manganoke concept is to present a coloured manga comic and make the reader feel as if they are reading an anime. This will lead to a fully animated anime trailer for the book and we were asked to compose a song for it!

I will talk more about the song later but it will be coming soon with the trailer release. The song will also appear on our upcoming album so the trailer release will be like the first official single for the album. This has brought Michiru very close to the band and our music and we're ready to announce that he will illustrate the story and album visuals of 'Blue Eyed Emotion'!

We appeared in an article as Everfrost with Michiru and were interviewed by Mitch Campbell about the album, collaboration and manganoke. Check it out below or here!
